Iestyn Lewis

Iestyn Lewis studied at Bath and Cambridge before becoming a Chartered Civil Engineer and was awarded the James Rennie medal by The Institution of Civil Engineers in 2006.

He has broad experience across a range of sectors including fund monitoring, risk management, residential, student, hotel, office, retail, infrastructure, health and mineral mining. With both a development and consultancy background, he has worked with numerous delivery formats including new build, refurbishment, covering listed buildings and national monuments.

Starting the business in 2007, Iestyn has overseen its expansion and Iesis now has a national presence. He has overall responsibility for the strategic direction of the business and leads a senior management team as it shapes the development of the company.

David Steadman

David Steadman is a founding director of the business and has successfully delivered developments throughout the UK, as well as providing on-site technical expertise for projects in Sierra Leone and Liberia.

His wide sector experience includes high-end residential, affordable housing, student accommodation, commercial and retail. David develops long-standing working relationships that improve delivery, with early involvement in the project lifecycle and he has established framework agreements with developer clients.

Peter James

With over 30 years’ experience in the financial and property sectors, Peter James is now Managing Director of the development arm of Iesis Ltd. Formerly a high ranking civil servant, he moved into the private sector and specialises in property development, funding and delivery.

Prior to joining the Iesis team, Peter spent 15 years as managing director of one of the largest family office development funds in the UK.

Matthew Jones

Having studied Architectural Engineering, Matt became a Chartered Structural Engineer in 1997, working for several established practices before setting up Iesis Special Structures in 2011. He has worked closely with the senior management team, overseeing the development of the structures division and in 2017 became Managing Director for all consultancy services across the group.

He has a strong track record of working with leading developers and contractors to successfully deliver a broad cross section of projects ranging in size from £100k to over £100 million, over the last 25 years.

He has extensive experience of urban regeneration projects in the residential and education sectors, and has also worked widely in the student accommodation, commercial, retail, leisure, industrial, pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. Matt’s areas of expertise includes hybrid structures, refurbishment projects and historic buildings. He has a particular interest in sustainability and sustainable development within the group.
