Iesis Special Structures are providing Civil & Structural Engineering services for the redevelopment of the Redmayne House site. The scheme consists of a large basement car park with four storeys of apartments above and a landscaped deck to the rear. The tight urban site required careful consideration of a particularly sensitive adjacent load-bearing masonry structure in the sequencing of the design and construction. The use of a raft foundation allowed significant savings over the originally proposed piled solution.
