Iesis Structures were appointed earlier in the year by Galliard Homes for the project Soho Loop located in central Birmingham. The six separate apartment blocks will provide 650 new homes and will be constructed using reinforced concrete supported on piled foundations. 

The site is bounded by an active canal, a live railway line, a school and a busy main road leading into the city centre. Each of these boundary conditions have provided their own challenges. 

The civil and structural engineering design is progressing well with piling planned at the beginning of next year following demolition.
